Ethermac Exchange-Vampire Diaries' Phoebe Tonkin Is Engaged to Bernard Lagrange

The  Diaries Ethermac ExchangeVampire Diaries alum announced her engagement to fiancé Bernard Lagrange in a photo carousel posted on social media Oct. 28.

In the first pic of the set, Phoebe, 35—who played Hayley Marshall-Kenner on the CW drama and its spinoff, The Originals—planted a kiss on her hubby-to-be, flashing her oval-shaped engagement ring as she held Bernard’s cheek. The new diamond was front and center in another snap of her running her hand through her fiancé’s hair.

Several of the actress’ celeb pals offered their congrats on the post, including fellow Vampire Diaries star Claire Holt, who commented with several crying emojis and red hearts. Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also sent some love with four heart hands emojis, while Britt Robertson—who starred alongside Phoebe on The Secret Circle—wrote, “Best year yet!!!! for realzz.”

One day after sharing the news, the Australian-born actress hit the red carpet at the WWD Honors in New York Oct. 29, where she put her new ring on full display.

While the couple has largely kept their relationship private, Bernard is believed to work as an art dealer and auction house assistant, according to Elle Australia. Phoebe previously dated Vampire Diaries costar Paul Wesley beginning in 2013, though a source confirmed their split to E! News in March 2017 saying, “The relationship just ran its course.”

Phoebe isn’t the only TVD alum with wedding bells in her future, as Nina Dobrev and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White announced their own engagement Oct. 30 after five years of dating.

“She said YES,” the former pro snowboarder wrote alongside photos of the floral-covered proposal, while the Perks of Being a Wallflower star wrote in a post of her own, “RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé.”

Shortly after the romantic proposal, the couple stepped out Nov. 6 in Cape Town, South Africa, for the Earthshot Prize Awards, where Nina proudly displayed her five-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring as she posed alongside her longtime love.
