Maria Georgas will be sharing her opinion before the last petal falls.
Indeed, the former Bachelor contestant was pulled into Bachelorette drama when the winner of Jenn Tran’s season, Devin Strader, allegedly followed her on social media after ending his and Jenn’s engagement—and she finally broke her silence.
“Just got back from a peaceful trip,” Maria wrote in a Sept. 4 Instagram Story, via a screenshot shared to X. “This is not something I wanted to come home to but I have something to say and I won’t be holding back this time.”
The 30-year-old topped off her message with a cryptic blushing emoji.
Maria’s message comes days after Jenn drew one of the worst straws in Bachelor Nation history when she proposed to winner Devin, with him breaking it off just two months later.
“He was making bold proclamations of love and then suddenly the next day he was like, nothing and he denied ever being in love,” Jenn explained to host Jesse Palmer during the After the Final Rose special Sept. 3. “All the promises he had made to me, all of the love that he had wanted to give to me wasn't there anymore.”
Worse, it was revealed during the live finale special that Devin had not only followed Maria on Instagram, but also went “clubbing in New York City” shortly after the former couple’s breakup.
“I just don't understand it—why you would do something like that,” Jenn said on the final episode of Bachelorette. “Not only is that so disrespectful to everything that we had shared together, It completely invalidated the entire relationship.”
Devin’s apparent attempt to forge a connection with Maria was especially cutting to Jenn, as she—along with former contestant Daisy Kent—was a frontrunner for the season 21 position of Bachelorette after all three women competed for the affections of Bachelor Joey Graziadei.
And contestant Sam McKinney further admitted that the bachelors competing weren’t expecting Jenn.
“When we all came out here, we had no idea who the bachelorette was going to be,” he said during After the Final Rose. “But if anybody’s going to sit up here and say they didn’t think it was going to be Daisy or Maria, you guys are liars.”
For Devin’s part, while he didn’t refute Jenn’s comments on his pursuing Maria, he stands by the controversial decision to end his and Jenn’s engagement.
“I found myself not being able to live up to the things that you need and you deserve,” Devin explained during the finale. “I watched myself contribute to your regression and that hurt me. You don't deserve to compromise your standards to be happy.”
Despite everything, Jenn is continuing to look forward—and is excited about her next endeavor as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.
“I’m excited it’s over with,” she told E! News Sept. 4 of her tumultuous Bachelorette season. “And I’m excited to look forward to the future and this amazing time in my life now—to be able to get to do something I’ve always wanted to do.”
Jenn even divulged that what didn’t kill her will only make her stronger on the dance floor.
“I think heartbreak is the best motivator for success,” she said on Good Morning America Sept. 4. “So I’m out for blood. I’m ready.”
